BRETT ALEXANDER ZWERDLING is Zwerdling, Oppleman & Adams' lead bankruptcy cousel.  He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University in 1992 and his Doctor of Law from William and Mary in 1995.  He has been practicing bankruptcy since obtaining his license in 1996.  He also practices in a wide variety of other fields, an invaluable tool since bankruptcy usually covers every aspect of life, from vehicles, to homes, rental agreements, even divorce situations and personal injuries.

"Out of the box" thinking is the rule, not the exception with Brett.  When other firms offer one solution, Brett has the ability to extract two or three options that traditional modes of thinking do not encompass.  More options, mean better possible solutions.

Brett also has the ability to take complex legal theories and explain them in a way that makes sense.  He wants his clients to be part of his team, understanding every aspect of their case.  

Brett and his staff believe in treating clients with dignity and respect.  There is a recognition that our clients are not here by choice, but a choice was made to DO something about it.

When not helping clients to save homes and vehicles, Brett enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering as a Trustee at the Virginia Holocaust Museum, and playing a wide variety of musical instruments.
